As time goes by

The Onze Lieve Vrouw plein, in an old city of Maastricht

When I looked at my photo collections of Maastricht, I fear that it will someday be only a dream to me.

I still remember on my first day to step my feet in this old town. I have spent my youth in here. And now, as time goes by, it is time to say goodbye.

So sad ...

Bad Day: The muds

It's November and winter will come soon. So the weather is quite unpredictable. But today, the sun shone and it was a pretty day. Wenjie wanted to go jogging and I didn't mind joining her cycling. So Wenjie and Duncan went jogging and I followed with my bike.

What happened next? I was thinking of making a video and some pictures while they were running that I didn't see the down slope, muddy road in front of me. When I tried to stop my bike, I pressed the front wheel brake I supposed, so I slipped into the muds!!! That was very disgusting :(

So I had to come back home, took shower, and cleaned up my "full of muds" clothes! So sad ....

Roma Part 3

Fontana de Trevi

It seems that there are always lots of people there, sitting, looking at the famous fountain.

Believe it or not, there's a myth saying that if you throw a coin in there, you will come back to Rome again!

I went there with my family on New Year's eve, and in the same year summer, I went back there. I didn't even plan to come there again, but there I was!

Roma part 1

Welcome to the ancient city of Rome!

There are many things to see. I spent five days there, it was still not enough. It was also my second time to be in Rome!!

Colosseo: The gladiator story

The Spanish Stair: in the summer, many people crowd the stairs. In front of the stair, there is a famous shopping street, called "via condotti". There lies the "Antico Caffe Greco". This cafe has an elegant decoration, but it is very expensive!!

Boca de la Verita (The mouth of Truth) - If you tells lie and put your hand inside his mouth, he will eat your hand, hihihi .... Do you believe it?

Spring Picnic

It was the end of April, the spring had started. The weather got warmer already. Helena and Marina thought of having a birthday picnic together on the top of St. Pietersburg hill. Good idea!!

It was a nice view from up there. We could see Maastricht, though it was quite small ^_^

Aix en Provence

40 Km away from Marseilles is a small city called Aix en Provence.

Italian Food

When I was in Marseilles, I stayed at a friend's place. The most memorable thing was that her father (an Italian) made us Italian supper, which was amazing!!

Hmm looks good, isn't it??

He made (homemade-real Italian) PIZZA on my first day there, and he cook a delicious Italian pasta. Amazing!! Yeah!! I could taste a real Italian food!!! ^_^

Marseilles

I went to Marseilles in July. It was bloody hot, about 35-38 degree Celcius!!! But besides that, I enjoyed the city pretty much.

Marseilles is the oldest city and port in France. It is also the second largest city, after Paris.

Marseilles Specialty
Navettes ... Hmm .. typical Marseilles. You should try to enter in there!! The ambience is very nice, it smells good!! Still can smell it when I imagine about it ^_^

See the small island over there? There's a castle on it, where the plot setting of "The Man in the Iron Mask" took place.

Teikyo: M Building

After living at the Guest House for years, I decided to move out to the neighbouring building, Teikyo! The room is older, unrenovated, but the rent is cheaper and the view is great!!

Not bad, rite!!

This Autumn events: The Bridge Tournament!

Funny how it goes. First I met these girls on their first day in the lift. Then we met in the Pub crawl and we began our conversations. Then we started to some stuffs together, such as dinner together, swimming, and go to the Friday market!!

What is great about it? That's not all. We began to have a Bridge tournament!! A card game that I had never played before. We played almost everyday. The funny thing is that we even played in the street when we were in Aachen!!!
We even played in the restaurant, at the cafe, at the bus stop, inside the bus, the train, anywhere possible!!!

How amazing this autumn is!!! Now winter is coming ... will the tournament continue? Who's gonna be the winner at the end? We shall see!!

I posted the picture of Liberty Statue that I took 2 years ago, when I was on my trip on the east coast. I chose this photo for my blog, because it indicates freedom.
Finally found my lost account ID for this blogger!!!
